Since this blog began, I have always advised anyone facing a serious decision to stand back, slow down and take whatever time is needed to think through the correct course of action. Now I am going to follow that advice myself.
I have written and edited this site since 2005, producing nearly 400 articles myself and editing all the others that have appeared here. Now I feel that I am running out of useful things to say. I am tired and uncertain about the future. So I will stop, take time to reflect and consider where this site should be going.
For that reason, there will be no new articles posted here during July and August. I hope that, by September, I will have worked out what to do next.
Thanks to all our readers and commenters for their support. It has been much appreciated.

Enjoy your downtime.. I hope that you decide to come back to posting and editing again. I have enjoyed your stuff.

Aw, right as I come to your site for the first time (for the excellent article on EQ), you’re heading off!
Well, I have a lot to read through.
All the best on finding your next natural step. One challenge of blogging is feeling the constant pressure to deliver. Even though you are the one to set your own schedule, that accountability lingers in the background (even if it may be healthy).
Sounds like a good call to take a step back, for yourself.

I appreciate the integrity of being up front and saying you are stopping for a while. In my blog I have noticed there are times when the articles are slower in coming while others they don’t seem to stop. I hope taking the summer of gives you time to recharge and refocus. Very much enjoy your work look forward to your return.

Reading this, I notice that I sometimes feel something like a small burnout: I do see major lacks and try to improve things, try to create sensibility for a certain topic encouraging others with the intention to work together on new solutions.
And so often I feel remaining alone fighting, although I am sure that there are many others feeling the same and continue working.
Not sure, whether you really don’t have any more to say right now or if you are “just” tired to pray for improvements and don’t see the effects. Maybe there is a very lot of patience needed…
However, I wish you a good time of regeneration and flow.

I’ll miss the refreshing posts–definitely a breath of fresh air in a world where packaging takes precedence over product, profit over compassion. I’ve learned so much from this blog!
Do you have any suggestions for other reading we can do in the meantime?

Hi Carmine. Take a well deserved break, enjoy the summer and do have a lot of fun. Hope you will find inspiration and come back again

Blessings and enjoy your time to refocus. I am in a similar place, feeling spread out a bit too thinly so I understand your dilemma. While I’ll miss the insight you share, I know it will be in everyone’s best interest that you take care of yourself. A burned out leader is no good. Take care, and I hope you have a cool and comfortable summer wherever you are.

In the event that you, Carmine, decide to bring the site you a close I want to take this opportunity, publicly, to express my sincere, really sincere, gratitude for the way you welcomed me to your blog, first, as a commentor and then as a regular contributor.
You’ve been gracious and open to my writings of varied subjects and perspectives (and lengths). For that, I’m also thankful.
I also want to thank those who responded and shared in the conversations here, and with me personally. I’m grateful I was sometimes able to support others in their own journey of awakening and self-awareness. And for those who expressed divergent opinions, I often learned from you and appreciate your extending the conversations.
This is an engaging and conscious community and I’m fortunate to have been a part of it on this stage of my own journey.
I wish you all well as your respective life’s journeys continue.
Peace,
Peter

Taking a break is always good. Just don’t be gone too long!

Having read all the other comments, I am delighted to see that I am not alone in feeling a slight sense of disappointment. As others have said, your postings have been a breath of fresh air, and while some have been more relevant to my own interests than others, I too am grateful for them; the fact that they have made me think more about things than I might otherwise have and the fact that there are people out there who are prepared to challenge the world around them, as well as the opportunities to contribute my own ha’pence worth.
Thanks for all you have done, enjoy your break and I hope you find the inspiration and energy to carry on – either in the same form or in whatever new direction your reflection takes. Only one request – please let us know what you ultimately decide.
Warmest wishes

I would to thank you for giving so… much of your time and effort to helping us. I hate to see this be the end I hope someone out there is willing to step up and run the site if you decide to say it is over.

My disappointment is keen, yet tempered by the fact that this is the first time that I run into your blog, plus I’m working on detachment from the fruits of my comments…

I just noticed missing your articles. Despite the big amount of information it seems companies are very poor in implementation of all kind of improvements in management and workflow.

Thanks for helping me slow down and all the best to you.
This was a wonderful site.
